ICABA Global Health Summit

The Ganley Foundation was honored to be included and have their executive director Grace Carricarte listed as a featured speaker the ICABA’s first Global Health Summit which was held on January, 26, 2018.  The goal of the summit simply put was “Enhancing the delivery, care and business opportunities in healthcare for communities of color worldwide”. Of course we know this is not as simple as it sounds with so many complex challenges that affect the health and wellbeing of our diverse communities.

Throughout the day of this summit many international experts were able to unite to contributing on many topics of relevancy. Presentation topics included, but were not limited to:

  • Applying Technology & Innovation in Personalizing Medicine
  • Addressing Behavioral Health Problems: Violence & Suicide
  • Role of Public Policy Addressing Movement from Illness to Wellness
  • Managing End of Life & Chronic Care
  • Status of the World’s Health
  • Mastering the Business of Healthcare
  • Attracting & Sustaining Culturally Competent Healthcare Professionals

As is our mission Grace was able to discuss youth suicide, present statistics, and encourage the importance of prevention and early intervention. We again thank ICABA for including us as we too care about their “thriving global network serving 1 million+ accomplished professionals and entrepreneurs sharing, collaborating, building wealth and capacity to lead, empower and grow our community” (ICABAWORLD.com).
