
2012 was off to a great start for our foundation after having again been featured on ESPN’s Outside the Lines on December 30, 2011.
This was our third television appearance on ESPN shows which have highlighted the pervasive issue of teenage suicide. In this segment both Grace Carricarte, executive director of the Ganley Foundation, and Jordan Burnham were interviewed live by host T. J. Quinn.

The Ganley Foundation’s first appearance on ESPN occurred in 2010 within their documentary series E:60. This Emmy nominatedE:60 episode entitled Unbreakable first aired on October 26, 2010 and features the story of Jordan Burnham. The Ganley Foundation has been proud to work closely with Jordan who is currently an international public speaker and youth mental health advocate. Jordan has been on quite a journey from his high school struggles with depression, a suicide attempt, subsequent rehabilitation, and current work to engage others in a life-saving conversation about mental health. His inspiring story was shared in this documentary which includes commentary by featured mental health expert Grace Carricarte. Our second ESPN appearance occurred on December 23, 2010 when Outside the Lines first featured live interviews with Jordan Burnham, Grace Carricarte, and Ann Ganley on their show. This special episode dealt with topic of youth depression and suicide. Viewer responses demonstrated how powerful our message can be for those who have experienced mental health difficulties both directly and through those of a loved one.
