The Ganley Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was created in 2004 after losing our son Jimmy to suicide due to undiagnosed depression. Therein began our mission to educate communities about depression and challenge the stigmas that prevent proper intervention and treatment. Sometimes all it takes is to simply break the silence by talking about this taboo and prevalent public health issue. Our work has expanded from youth and parent presentations to include the training of gatekeepers, those professional staff who work with youth. Our innumerable success stories show us that prevention education does work. Though our non-profit organization arose out of tragedy it has served as a beacon of light to many and lives have been saved.
We appreciate your joining us on our mission. Our organization could not continue its work without the support of the communities which it serves.
In memory of our beloved son,
Jim and Ann Ganley
